Adding Prices/ Rates

Adding Prices/ Rates

Prices are important for your business to get right. They help you set how much to charge for different types of sites.

In OpenCampground, we use the term "Price Class" to help define and categorize different groups of similar sites.
For example:
  1. All tent sites
  2. RV sites with full hookups
  3. Boat slips for boats over 40 feet
Types of Rates You Can Set
  1. Daily rates
  2. Weekly rates
  3. Monthly rates
  4. Storage rates
  5. Seasonal rates
If a monthly or weekly rate is not defined the daily rate will be used for rate computations. If monthly rates are not defined but weekly are, the rate will be computed using daily and weekly rates. What the rates are and how rates are related is completely up to you.

  1. How to Create a New Price Class
    1. Go to the Admin section
    2. Click on "Settings"
    3. Click on the "Prices" tab
    4. Click the "Create a Price Class" button
    5. Fill in the rates for your new price class
    6. Click Save

Important: You must set up your prices before you can set up your spaces or sites.
Remember, you can create as many price classes as you need. This helps you charge the right amount for different types of sites or stays.
