Configuring Email Message Templates

Email templates in OpenCampground are powerful tools that streamline your communication with guests and enhance their overall experience. By setting up and customizing these templates, you can enjoy several key benefits:
  1. Consistency: Ensure all guests receive the same high-quality, professional communication.
  2. Time-saving: Automate routine emails, freeing up your staff to focus on other important tasks.
  3. Personalization: Use dynamic fields to tailor each email to the specific guest and their reservation details.
OpenCampground offers seven customizable email templates:
  1. Confirmation: Sent to confirm a guest's reservation details.
  2. Reservation Update: Notifies guests of any changes to their existing reservation.
  3. Reservation Feedback: Requests feedback from guests after their stay.
  4. Online Reservation Received: Acknowledges receipt of an online reservation request.
  5. Online Reservation Confirmed: Confirms an online reservation has been approved.
  6. Online Reservation Rejected: Informs a guest their online reservation request cannot be accommodated.
  7. Reservation Canceled: Confirms the cancellation of a reservation.
Instructions:Setting Up Email Templates
  1. Go to the Admin section
  2. Click on Settings
  3. Click on the "Mail Messages" tab
  4. Choose a template to edit
  5. Customize the email content and Edit the subject line and body of the email as needed
  6. Use the left-hand pane to view available dynamic fields. {{like_this}}
  7. Save your changes
Dynamic fields
      Dynamic fields are used to automatically add content to your email messages. They fields are in curly brackets (e.g. {{camper}} ). 
      Here is the list of dynamic fields

Below is an example of what an email message can look like with dynamic fields
Dear {{camper}},
Thank you for making a reservation at My RV Park.  You are scheduled to arrive on {{start}} and depart on {{departure}}.  We have assigned you site {{space_name}}.  The total charges are estimated at {{charges}}. 
Your reservation confirmation number is {{number}}.

Notes
You can send test emails to ensure everything looks and functions as expected using the template "Test"
