In OpenCampground, you can define various types of discounts to offer to your guests or customers. Discounts can be set up as a percentage off the posted rate or a fixed amount. Each discount must have a unique name, and the system will display an error if you attempt to create a discount with a name that is already in use. However, you can edit an existing discount to reuse the name and change its characteristics.

Creating and Configuring Discounts

To create and configure discounts in OpenCampground, follow these steps:Here's how to make new discounts in OpenCampground:

1. Go to Settings
   
   • Click "Admin" on the left side
   • Then click "Settings"
2. Find Discounts
   
   • Look for and click the "Discounts" button
3. Make a New Discount
   
   • Click "Add New Discount"
   • Give your discount a unique name
4. Choose Discount Type
   
   • Pick either a percentage off or a fixed amount
   • For percentage, enter the percent you want to take off
   • For fixed amount, decide if it's one-time or per day, week, or month
5. Set How Long the Discount Lasts (If You Want)
   
   • Enter how many days the discount should last
   • If you put 0 days, it will last for the whole stay
6. Choose When to Use the Discount
   
   • Pick which days of the week it works
   • Choose if it's for daily, weekly, or monthly stays
   • Decide if online bookings can use this discount
7. Turn the Discount On or Off
   
   • Check "Active?" to turn it on
   • Uncheck to turn it off
8. Save Your Work
   
   • Check everything is correct
   • Click "Save"
9. Change Old Discounts
   
   • To change a discount, find it and click "Edit"
   • You can change details or turn it off
   • Remember, you can't delete a discount if someone is using it
     

Discounts will display on the "Confirm Reservation" page for a newly created reservation.
