Requirements
- This feature is only available for customers who:
- Use Priority Payments and have an active Merchant account
How to Save a Guest's Credit Card
- During Reservation Creation
- When creating a new reservation, you'll see a new option to "Save this card for future"
- Check this box after entering the guest's payment details
- Agree to the terms of saving the card for the guest
- Complete the reservation as usual
- We follow strict PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliance requirements to protect payment data
- Credit card information is tokenized for security - this means the actual card number is replaced with a unique token
- Only the last four digits of credit card numbers are stored and visible to staff members
- The token allows for secure payment processing without storing the complete card number in our system
- Card type (Visa, Mastercard, etc.) is displayed for easy reference
- System automatically checks for card expiration and will alert you if a card is about to expire
- All tokenization is handled through our secure payment gateway
- Regular security audits ensure ongoing protection of payment information
