About the Service Fee

The Service Fee is applied only to reservations being paid by credit card. This fee helps cover the cost of credit card processing and varies based on your specific merchant agreement.

  • Automatic Calculation: The system automatically calculates and displays the Service Fee amount on the Booking Details page
  • Payment Methods: The Service Fee applies only to credit card payments
  • No Fee for Cash/Check: Check and cash transactions do not incur a Service Fee
  • No Fee when "Pay at time of checkin":
  • Variable Rate: The Service Fee percentage is based on your specific merchant agreement
  • Fee Options: The Service Fee can either be:
    • Paid by the guest (added to their total)
    • Absorbed by your business (included in your costs)

Service Fee vs. Platform Fee
