Daily Specific Rates: Day-of-Week Pricing

Daily Specific Rates: Day-of-Week Pricing

What Are Daily Specific Rates?

Daily Specific Rates is a feature that allows you to set different pricing for each day of the week (Monday through Sunday). This flexible pricing option enables you to charge different amounts based on demand patterns, such as higher rates for weekends and lower rates for weekdays.

For example, you can create a season for the month of December, and all of the days for that month will have their own set pricing.

Benefits of Daily Specific Rates

  • Match pricing to demand: Charge more on traditionally busy days like weekends
  • Create seasonal patterns: Adjust specific days during different times of year
  • Optimize revenue: Increase rates on high-demand days while attracting guests with lower rates on typically slower days

How to Enable Daily Specific Rates

  1. Access Price Settings
    • Log into your OpenCampground account
    • Navigate to Settings
    • Select the Prices menu option
  2. Enable the Feature
    • Find the Daily Specific Rates checkbox
    • Check this box to enable day-of-week pricing
    • The system will display new input fields for each day of the week
  3. Set Your Day-Specific Rates
    • Enter your desired rate for each day of the week:
      • Monday
      • Tuesday
      • Wednesday
      • Thursday
      • Friday
      • Saturday
      • Sunday
      • You can also adjust pricing for Weekly, Monthly, and Seasonal
  4. Save Your Changes
    • Click the Add button at the bottom of the page
    • Your new day-specific rates are now active

Important Notes About Daily Specific Rates

  • Affects Future Reservations: Enabling Daily Specific Rates will apply the new pricing to all future reservations only
  • Existing Reservations: Reservations created before enabling this feature will maintain their original pricing
  • Reverting to Standard Pricing: If you disable Daily Specific Rates and return to standard pricing, all future reservations will use your default pricing configuration
  • Calculation Impact: This change affects how the system calculates reservation totals

Best Practices

  • Analyze Your Booking Patterns: Review past reservations to identify high and low-demand days before setting rates
  • Consider Seasonal Adjustments: Remember that your busiest days may change throughout the year
  • Communicate Clearly: Ensure your booking system clearly displays different rates to guests during the reservation process
  • Monitor Results: Track the impact of day-specific pricing on your bookings and adjust as needed
