Adding Custom Amenities

What Are Custom Amenities?

Custom Amenities is a feature that allows you to add specific details about each of your camping sites or spaces. You can create up to 10 unique amenity descriptions per site that will display to guests during the online booking process.

Who Can Use This Feature?

This feature is available to all OpenCampground users on the current platform version.

Setting Up Custom Amenities

Access the Feature

  1. Log into your OpenCampground account
  2. Go to Settings
  3. Select the Spaces tab
  4. Click on a site to edit it
  5. Click on the button "Custom Amenity">>Add Amenity
  6. Click on the "pencil" icon and start typing your description (up to 30 characters)
  7. Select the check box to make it active
  8. Click "Update" to save your changes

View Your Changes

After saving:

  • Custom amenities will automatically display on your online reservation system
  • No additional steps are required to make them visible to guests

Use Custom Amenities to describe:

  • Accessibility: "Wheelchair accessible"
  • Cooking: "BBQ pit"
  • Seating: "Picnic table"
  • Shade: "Covered patio"
  • Privacy: "Secluded location"
  • Utilities: "Water hookup"
  • Comfort: "Electrical outlets"
  • Recreation: "Hammock hooks"
  • Convenience: "Close to bathhouse"
