Creating and Managing Spaces
In OpenCampground, a "space" refers to an individual, bookable unit within your property. This could be an RV site, a tent pad, a cabin, or a boat slip. Each space is unique and has its own characteristics that determine its suitability for different guests and rigs. Spaces are the foundation of your reservation system, allowing you to efficiently manage your property's inventory and guest bookings.\
When creating a Space, you should also define it's characteristics such as:
- Amp service (e.g. 15,30, 50 ampere)
- Water
- Sewage
- Length, Width for the space
- Any special conditions

Important Note: Before creating spaces, you must first set up your pricing structure (Price Class) and define your site types. These elements are essential for properly configuring each space.
Instructions:
- Go to the Admin section
- Click on the "Spaces" tab
- Provide a Space Name or Number
- Check any applicable box for Power ampere
- Check any applicable box for Water or Sewage
- Choose a pre-defined "Site Type"
- Choose a pre-defined "Price Class"
- Enter a length value and a width value
- (optional) Enter in a "measured value"
- Check the box if you want this Space to be reservable by Guests online
- (optional) Add a description of the space for Guests to read when reserving this Space online
- (optional) Add any special conditions (seen only by internal staff)
- Click "Add a Space"

If you aren't ready to make a space "live", or the space is down for maintenance, you can uncheck the "active" checkbox to remove that space from being booked by a Guest.
Remember, the accuracy and completeness of your space definitions are crucial for effective property management and guest satisfaction. Regularly review and update your space information to ensure it remains current and accurate
